Wings for Life World Run: We run for those who can’t

Let's stay a little bit more in the world of sports, but somewhat different, we would say. It is an event of extremely humane character that makes Zadar one of the world-renowned racing destinations.

The beginning of May is reserved for the popular humanitarian race in the world Wings for Life. This year, on the 6th May at 13.00, there will be several thousand runners on the start of the race who will run together for those who can’t. Namely, the entire amount of the participation fee is intended for spinal cord research. The race is specific because there is no finish line, and the race is finished for an individual runner when the catcher car, that starts half an hour after the runners gradually accelerating towards them, “catches” the runner. Everyone can participate in this event, recreational athletes, walkers, people with disabilities, families with young children, the young and the old, with the humanitarian spirit and followed by a large number of fans who follow them from the very start in the heart of the Zadar peninsula, up to tens of kilometers distant coastal places.
